membership
WHY IS MEMBERSHIP IMPORTANT?
- Membership helps the staff to identify the people in whom we can trust to lead and care for others.
- Membership identifies that a person has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and that he/she is willing to go public with that faith through baptism.
- Membership identifies that a person is willing to support this ministry with their time, talents and treasure and to be held accountable to the values of NBCOG.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO BE A MEMBER IN ORDER TO BE IN A LEADERSHIP ROLE at New Beginnings?
Because of what membership represents, members are the most qualified people to be in a leadership position.
Often, if people are not willing to be held accountable, to go public with their faith through baptism, or to commit to leading people into a relationship with Jesus Christ, it can be an indication that they are not ready to lead others within the church environments.
WHAT DOES MEMBERSHIP INDICATE?
Partnering with the church helps lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Members can draw great satisfaction from knowing that they are instrumental in leading others into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Those people who want to join the church seem to understand the paradigm shift of "What do I get?" to "What can I give?"
WHAT ARE THE PREREQUISITES TO JOIN THE CHURCH?
- Having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- A willingness to follow Christ in Baptism
- Being willing to support this ministry with time, talents and treasure, and being willing to be held accountable to the church in matters concerning relationship to God and to others.

KFC
What is KFC Studio?
Kids For Christ Studio is a place where young people, kindergarten through 5th grade, learn how living a life serving and loving Christ faithfully is eternally rewarding.
How is KFC Studio different from a typical Sunday School Class?
The KFC program takes place in a movie studio atmosphere. The focus in KFC Studio is a large group setting where there is plenty of audience participation. Young people learn to get involved so that as they mature, service in Christ will come naturally.
What curriculum is used in KFC Studio?
Big City Studio from Kidz Blitz Ministries. It is effective for communicating and retaining the Word of God. Big City curriculum is about penetrating a child’s heart with a relevant truth from God’s Word. We want to turn on a light inside of each child.
“And we have the word of the prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.” (2 Peter 1:19 NIV)
When is KFC Studio and Critter Land open?
These ministries operate Sundays at 9:00 am, 10:30 am, and 6:00 pm.
What is the security policy?
In order for our check-in system to work, we need you
to make sure your young person (s) is
1.) checked in,
2.) gets a name tag, and
3.) receives a number that matches the one you are given.
This needs to be done each week.
To help our ministry run safely and efficiently, and as a courtesy to our volunteers, please pick up your child immediately following the service. Present the card at the registration center when you return, and someone will assist you with the check-out process.
How are volunteers recruited for KFC Studio and Critter Land?
Together, both ministries require more than 100 volunteers each week. Potential volunteers must have completed the 101 class. They must have a heart for children and the Godly impact we are called to impress on our young people. Those interested in becoming volunteers may print out an application packet online or request a form from the children’s director. When they have submitted their application, the director will contact them to set up an interview to discuss where their gifts may best be used. After the application, background check, and referrals have been approved, the volunteer will agree to a one-year commitment, and begin with a 30-day probation period. At the end of the 30-day period, we will be better able to see what area of ministry the volunteer’s gifts will best be used.
CRITTER LAND
What is Critter Land?
Critter Land is a place where our young people, 3 years through pre-k, will experience God as a Father who loves them no matter what. The Bible lessons will teach them how God responds to our needs with love and kindness. God is a good Father.
How is Critter Land different from a typical Sunday School class?
Young people love to explore and are inquisitive about their environment. We want to encourage those natural instincts by surrounding them with scenery, puppets, and activities using the World of God in a way that will excite them.
What curriculum do you use?
Critter Land by Kidz Blitz. Visitors in Critter Land will be introduced to new friends such as Looney bird. Together with their leader, the young people will help Looney Bird solve his problems with the help of God’s Word. Young people will be rewarded for making wise choices. Each week they will learn about giving through weekly offering time.
“May my God, who supplies seed to the sower, supply and multiply the seed I have sown.” (II Corinthians 9:10)
